Opens Discord Nitro's official page. You may need to sign in.
Open Discord in your browser or desktop app. Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to your username to open Settings.
In the left sidebar, click Subscriptions under Billing Settings.
Click Cancel next to your Nitro subscription. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

Open Discord Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there instead.
You don't lose them, but you can only use them on servers where you've unlocked them. You lose the ability to use custom emoji across all servers.
The 2 free server boosts included with Nitro are removed from whatever servers you boosted. Those servers lose the boost benefits.
