Thermi is built with privacy as a core principle. Your flight data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate servers that collect your data.
We collect no personal data. Thermi does not require an account, login, or registration.
Thermi uses your device's GPS to provide flight tracking, variometer, and airspace alerts. Location data is:
Background location access is used only during active flight recording to maintain GPS track continuity.
If you enable iCloud, your flight data syncs between your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot access your iCloud data.
Airspace data from openAIP is bundled with the app for offline use. Weather data is fetched from public APIs. These requests contain only geographic coordinates — no personal identifiers.
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. No Firebase. No Mixpanel. No ads. Period.
If you choose to upload flights to XContest, that data is sent directly to XContest servers under their privacy policy. This is an opt-in feature you explicitly trigger.
Thermi does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
