Everything You Need in the Air
Built for Real Flights
Not a toy. Not a dashboard. A precision instrument designed for pilots who fly cross-country, chase thermals, and push XC distance.
Precision Vario
Real-time climb/sink rate with audio feedback. Phone barometer or Bluetooth external varios — your choice.
GPS Flight Tracking
Full 3D track at 1Hz — altitude, speed, heading, G-force. Export IGC for competitions and XContest uploads.
Live Airspace
3,251 zones from openAIP bundled offline. Visual alerts when approaching restricted areas. 30+ countries.
Thermal Forecast
Wind speed, thermal prediction, cloud base estimate. Know the conditions before you inflate your wing.
Flight Logbook
Every flight saved with stats, 3D replay, altitude charts, and pilot notes. Track your progression over time.
Hike & Fly
Track your hike with elevation gain, then seamlessly transition to flight recording at takeoff.
Live Tracking
Share your position in real time with friends and safety contacts. They see you on a live map.
Thermal Assistant
Visual centering aid showing lift distribution around your circle. Core the thermal, maximize climb.
Apple Watch
Altitude, speed, and vario on your wrist. Glance without reaching for your phone in turbulence.
Cockpit-Grade Interface
Designed for

Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Thermi?+
Thermi is an offline-first paragliding flight computer for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It provides a precision variometer (using phone barometer or Bluetooth external varios), GPS flight tracking at 1 Hz, 3,251 bundled airspace zones from openAIP across 30+ countries, thermal forecasting, a flight logbook with 3D replay, and IGC export for XContest. All data stays on-device — no account required.
Does Thermi work without internet?+
Yes. Thermi is designed offline-first. Airspace data (3,251 zones), maps, and weather cache are all stored locally on your device. You can fly in remote mountain areas with zero cell signal. The only feature that requires internet is live tracking (sharing your position with safety contacts).
How is Thermi different from Wingman, FlySkyHy, and XCTrack?+
Wingman (iOS) — Modern vario with Apple Watch support, but requires a subscription ($5.99/mo). Thermi offers a $99.99 lifetime option and is fully offline-first with bundled airspace data.
FlySkyHy (iOS, $19.99) — Highly configurable with advanced competition tools, but has an dated interface. Thermi focuses on cockpit-grade readability and modern SwiftUI design while still offering deep features.
XCTrack (Android only) — Powerful and free, but not available on iPhone. Thermi fills the gap for iOS pilots who want XCTrack-level features with a native Apple experience.
Thermi is the only paragliding app that combines: offline-first architecture, bundled airspace for 30+ countries, thermal assistant, hike & fly mode, Apple Watch app, G-force monitoring, and a lifetime purchase option — all in a single native iOS app.
Can I export my flights to XContest?+
Yes. Thermi records full 3D GPS tracks at 1 Hz and exports standard IGC files compatible with XContest, DHV-XC, and other competition platforms. Premium users get direct XContest upload integration.
Is Thermi free?+
Core features are free: variometer, GPS tracking, flight logbook. Premium unlocks airspace alerts, thermal forecast, live tracking, XContest upload, and unlimited features. Choose Monthly ($7.99), Yearly ($49.99 — save 48%), or Lifetime ($99.99 one-time). Currently in beta — all premium features are free via TestFlight.
What platforms does Thermi support?+
Thermi runs on iPhone (iOS 17+), iPad, and Apple Watch (watchOS 10+). It's built with native SwiftUI — not a web wrapper. The Apple Watch app provides altitude, speed, and vario readings on your wrist so you don't need to reach for your phone in turbulence.
Does Thermi support external Bluetooth varios?+
Yes. You can use the iPhone's built-in barometer for the variometer, or connect an external Bluetooth vario for higher precision. Thermi supports standard Bluetooth LE vario protocols.
